"Valuable" Things... (???)

1. You call this art?

This photo of a 1982 acrylic and oil paintstick on linen painting 'Untitled (Boxer)' by the late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, was released by Christie's auction house in New York, Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008. The painting sold at auction in New York by Christies, Wednesday for $14 million, exceeding its pre-auction estimate of $12 million.
2. Don't be an ass!

Brazil's Melanie Nunes Fronckowiak (R) and France's Saiba Bombote (L) pose after they won the final of the "Most Beautiful Bottom in the World" competition in Paris November 12, 2008. Some 45 finalists from 26 different countries took part in the competition to win a modelling contract and 15,000 euros ($18,769) prize money.

I happen to like Basquiat's work. I know most people are not into his stuff but I do like the unusual and he was definitely that. It's a shame he died so young and tragically.
Ooppss... ok. Hope I didn't offend you.
His art is too abstract for me to appreciate. I do like abstract art, but not all.
No, I am not offended:) I have a very tough skin.
I'm not crazy about most abstract art either. I can see the boxer in that painting but I can't understand why someone would pay $14 million for it! I could find a lot of things to spend that much money on and none of those things have to do with putting art my walls. To each his own.
We all have a butt and each of us has a lovely butt. Those two aren't all that special if you ask me! Again, to each his own?
Aliens? I have trouble buying that! I think that's just art on the beach to make us all think!
